Vom 1. zum 3. Mai 2019 fand in Surabaya eine Fokusgruppendiskussion zum Thema „Förderung indonesischer Studenten in Deutschland in Richtung globaler Wettbewerbsfähigkeit statt. Die Veranstaltung wurde von der Indonesischen Botschaft in Berlin in Zusammenarbeit mit den Indonesischen Ministerien für Bildung und auswärtige Angelegenheiten organisiert. Prof. Thomas Rüde von der RWTH Aachen und Dr. Wolfgang Busse von der Hochschule Wismar stellten die jeweils spezifischen Modelle und Erfahrungen ihrer Hochschulen in der nachhaltigen Zusammenarbeit mit Indonesien vor. In einer Talkshow mit zahlreichen Interessenten wurden im Beisein von Fahmi Prayoga, Erster Sekretär der Botschaft Indonesiens, Marc Seemann von der Deutschen Botschaft in Jakarta, sowie Vertretern von DAAD, GIZ und Goethe-Institut umfangreiche Informationen über Perspektiven und Kompetenzen zukünftiger indonesischer Studierender in Deutschland gegeben.
From May 1 to 3, 2019, a focus group discussion on "Promoting Indonesian Students in Germany towards Global Competitiveness" took place in Surabaya. The event has been organized by the Indonesian Embassy in Berlin in cooperation with the Indonesian Ministries of Education and Foreign Affairs. Prof. Thomas Rüde from the RWTH Aachen and Dr. Wolfgang Busse from the University of Wismar presented the specific models and experiences of their universities in sustainable cooperation with Indonesia. In a talk show with numerous interested parties, in presence of Fahmi Prayoga, First Secretary of the Embassy of Indonesia in Berlin, Marc Seemann of the German Embassy in Jakarta, as well as representatives of the DAAD, GIZ and Goethe-Institut, extensive information has been provided about perspectives and competencies of future Indonesian students in Germany.
