This course has an accreditation
- first professional degree (Bachelor’s, Diplom, or equivalent) from a German or foreign university in the fields of economics, logistics, or maritime engineering, with a minimum of 180 credit points (ECTS) under the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS)
- The overall grade of the certificate confirming this degree must be at least 2.5 for comparable grade systems or a GPA of 3.75/5.0 for non‐comparable grade systems
- A relevant professional practice can improve the overall grade in such a way that an improvement by 0.1 is possible for each completed professional year, but not more than four years. If the overall grade is 3.0 or worse, there is no approval possible according to the decision of the examination board
- Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency at a minimum of the B1 level through a language certificate and an interview, or alternatively through a bachelor’s degree earned in English. Applicants whose native language is English are not required to provide such proof. Any questions regarding this requirement will be decided by the admissions committee

Integrating administration, business operations and logistics.
The internationally oriented Master’s program in Marine Transportation combines the development of specialist knowledge in the maritime sector with the cultivation of personal intercultural skills.
To prepare students for their future careers, which will focus on the interdisciplinary integration of administrative, economic and logistical challenges, the program is delivered across two university campuses: First and second semester will be held at the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) in Surabaya, Indonesia, and semester three and four (including Master's thesis) will be held at Wismar University of Applied Sciences in Rostock, Germany.
The modules in this international program are taught in English.
