This online conference gave the opportunity to present current research result in front of experts in the sensor field to the PhD student Marek Götten. The paper 4000 Serial FBG Sensors Interrogated with a Hybrid CDM-WDM Systemwas selected among a few others to be extended and published in the IEEE Sensors Journal (A CDM-WDM Interrogation Scheme for Massive Serial FBG Sensor Networks).

Project results were published at the 9th International Conference on Sensor Networks SENSORNETS 2020. Andreas Ahrens contributed to the conference as a co-chair and Steffen Lochmann as a keynote-speaker. Additionally, the conference contribution A Robust Serial FBG Sensor Network with CDM Interrogation Allowing Overlapping Spectra  was published.

The first project meeting took place at the site of FBGS in Jena. After welcoming all and a short tour through the company the meeting started with the organisational part of the project. Afterwards, productive technical discussions took place that led to intermediate goals and tasks for each project partner.
