Over three days, from 8 to 10 September, MARSIM2026 focused on maritime simulation, training, research and technological developments. For the first time, our UAS, through its Department of Maritime Studies, Systems Engineering and Logistics, hosted the international conference of the International Marine Simulator Forum (IMSF).
Topics discussed included new international guidelines for simulator training, training for remotely operated and autonomous vessels, alternative fuels, and the further development of simulation and training technologies. Workshops, specialist lectures and presentations provided a forum for the international exchange of experiences, research findings and future prospects.
