Two Schwerin awards for us

We would like to offer our warmest congratulations to our Master’s student Jessica Albrecht and our alumnus Lukas Burmeister on winning this year’s Schwerin Innovation Award.

Jessica Albrecht, B.Eng., was honoured for her Bachelor’s thesis entitled ‘Investigation of metolachlor contamination and possible locations for a groundwater measuring point in Pinnow‘. Lukas Burmeister received the award for his Master’s thesis on ‘Investigation of DoE-based modelling approaches for a fuel cell stack, with a particular focus on optimising operational behaviour‘.

The award ceremony took place on 2 November 2026 at the Schwerin Chamber of Industry and Commerce as part of the 2026 Schwerin Science Week. The Association for the Promotion of Higher Education Institutions in Schwerin e. V. awards
