The project team consists of different partners reaching from the University of Applied Sciences Wismar itself, to other research partners as well as industry partners. Research assistance is offered by Prof. Hartmut Ewald from the University of Rostock, Prof. Elfed Lewis from the University of Limerick, and Prof. César Benavente-Peces from the Polytechnical University of Madrid. The University of Limerick supports the project with their research group Optical Fibre Sensors Research Centre. The University of Rostock and the University of Applied Sciences Wismar, as well as the Polytechnical University of Madrid have a long cooperative tradition. The industry partner FBGS Technologies GmbH from Jena focusses on the production of optical sensors. It provides practically relevant knowledge, industrial contacts and application possibilities of the results of this project.
