The ten steles are arranged like signposts in front of the building, which houses laboratories, seminar rooms and the lecture hall of the Civil Engineering Department of the Faculty of Engineering. Following these steles leads visitors to the Faculty of Architecture and Design, where the architects of the future are trained.
This creates a visual link between the different disciplines represented in the exhibition.
The exhibition, which can be seen on our campus until 8 July 2026, focuses on projects and positions of female civil engineers. These include the Brooklyn Bridge in New York, The Shard skyscraper and the London Eye, as well as the functional extension of the WBS 70 housing series in the former GDR. Further audio interviews on each of the 18 projects address the challenges that arise in civil engineering, especially for women.
