In doing so, the city honours his decades of service at our Wismar University of Applied Sciences, as well as his outstanding contributions to academia and cultural education. Mayor Thomas Beyer and City Council President Sylvia Bartsch presented the medal as a token of this recognition.
Over many years, Prof. Schott has shaped generations of students and, with the founding of the Gottlob Frege Centre, has made a significant contribution to the academic study of logic and computer science. Through his publications and his tireless commitment, he has made a significant contribution to raising awareness of Gottlob Frege’s work far beyond the region.
We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Prof. Dr Dieter Schott, who retired in 2014, on this well-deserved honour and thank him for his many years of service at our UAS.
